Our colleagues at the International Maritime Pilots Association will host a seminar at the International Maritime Organization headquarters on Tuesday, 1st November 2022. This seminar is immediately before the 106th session of the IMO’s Maritime Safety Committee (MSC). This is the first session of MSC that will take place in person at IMO Headquarters since 2019, and the Committee will consider a proposal from China to amend SOLAS regulation V/23 (MSC 104/15/23).
The IMO Secretary General, Mr Kitack Lim, and IMPA President will address the seminar before three presentations focusing on the work of pilots and the value of pilotage as a public service.
